Thaw completely in refrigerator.
Empty bag into a large saucepan or dutch-oven over medium high heat. Add 1 Tablespoon of olive oil if desired (for a slightly richer flavor).
For 2-3 size add 1 & 1/4 cups of water
For 4-6 size add 2 & 1/2 cups of water
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 35-45 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking to pot. Serve with some shredded cheese and sour cream on top, along with cornbread and a crunchy salad.
