This entree features our hand-trimmed chicken tenders coated in a savory crispy "french-fried" onion crust and accompanied by a creamy dipping sauce inspired by the popular restaurant sauce served alongside an onion in its "blooming" state. Cook from frozen or thawed. Keep fries frozen. Preheat oven to 400F and start fries at same time as chicken.
Remove chicken tenders and place on a cookie sheet sprayed with oil/non-stick spray. Set aside dipping sauce. Tenders can be cooked in the pan but will cook more evenly on all sides if removed. Bake 20-25 mins if thawed (25-30 mins if frozen) or until cooked through and 165F. Serve with dipping sauce, can be served room temp. or chilled.
Fries: Start baking fries at the same time as chicken. Place fries in a single layer on a sprayed cookie sheet. Sprinkle with salt. Cook for 25-30 mins, flipping once until browned. For crispier fries increase oven temp to 450 (after chicken is removed) until desired texture.
