One of our most popular holiday items! Mashed sweet potatoes get a hint of holiday spices, a splash of vanilla and bourbon (cooks off) and are covered with your choice of 1) praline pretzel topping (contains nuts and gluten) or 2) mini marshmallows (no gluten) or both toppings! Easily transferred to your own dish for heating & serving.
Large serves 8-10, Small Serves 4-5. The toppings come on the side. Transfer the sweet potato mix to your desired pan and then add the topping.
This dish freezes well so it can be ordered weeks prior to the holiday and thawed 1-2 days prior to baking.
Hands on time: 2 minutes
Cooking time: 50-65 minutes
Store in refrigerator (or thaw if frozen).
If you prefer, transfer into your own well greased serving dish. Set topping aside. Preheat oven to 350F. Place pan on a baking sheet for stability. Bake uncovered for 40 mins (small) or 50 mins (large rect pan) then add desired topping(s) and return to oven for 10-15 mins or until casserole is set (check the middle) and a bit puffy and 165F. To brown marshmallows, place under the broiler 1-2 mins or until your desired appearance. Let rest at least 5 mins. before serving.
